Niiice! Looks great.
Maybe you could have a black background with a bright colour for the letters.
Maybe a black/cyan mix.

You don't want anything too flashy in the back, it would make it looks crowded and it would take away from the actual 'G'.

Only other thing that I can say is that the top left corner of the G looks a little crunched. I think there is a little too much white space, everything else looks spot on, just play with that spot a little. :]
